About Fenway Porchfest

Fenway Porchfest was founded in 2018 by three Fenway organizations — Fenway Community Development Organization, Fenway Civic Association, and the Fenway Alliance. It is a free music festival that takes place in a wide range of diverse outdoor spaces in the Fenway, ranging from the Verb Hotel and 401 Park to the Emerald Necklace and the MFA! We’re a bit different from other Porchfests in the variety of our sites and in the reach of music we draw from as the proud home to the Boston Symphony Orchestra, New England Conservatory and Berklee College of Music.

This year’s Fenway Porchfest (2024) is a collaboration between Fenway Community Development Corporation and the Fenway Community Center.

For more about the genesis of this neighborhood free music festival please see our “FAQ” page.

In 2020 and 2021 we postponed Fenway Porchfest due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. In 2020 Fenway Porchfest produced a music video that highlighted local Boston area musicians, producers, and music sound & video editors. Please enjoy this rif below on the Standells’ classic Dirty Water, in this case "(Love that) Muddy River.”
